Singer Rolex Dee Arrested for Defaming Taye Currency

Nigerian singer Rolex Dee was arrested and detained by the Oyo State Police Command for allegedly defaming fellow artist Taye Currency. The police confirmed the arrest in response to reports circulating online.

Rolex Dee was accused of damaging Taye Currency's reputation and engaging in cyberbullying, which included making threats on different social media platforms. The police began their investigation after receiving a formal complaint from Taye Currency, who is based in Ibadan.

Following the investigation, Rolex Dee was traced to Lagos and arrested. The case gained public attention after an interview granted by Rolex Dee during the Agbaletu program, which was widely disseminated online.

The police indicated that the statements made during the program were considered harmful and could lead to further legal action.
