Nigerian Startups Join 10th Google for Startups Accelerator
Four Nigerian tech startups—Bani, MasteryH, AI, Regxta, and Termii—have been selected to join the 10th cohort of the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa. This selection comes from nearly 2,600 applications, highlighting a less than one percent acceptance rate.
The chosen startups aim to leverage artificial intelligence to tackle key challenges in financial services and business infrastructure. Bani focuses on cross-border payments, MasteryH AI automates reconciliation and fraud detection, Regxta deploys alternative credit scoring for underserved businesses, and Termii provides AI-driven communication infrastructure for the financial messaging industry.
Gbolad Emmanuel, the program lead, emphasized the increasing role of African startups in solving foundational problems in financial inclusion and payment enterprise technology. The accelerator program, running from April 13 to June 19, 2026, will offer technical support, mentorship, and access to a global network to help these startups scale their solutions.
Since its launch in 2018, the accelerator has supported 100 startups across 17 African countries, helping them raise $263 million and create thousands of jobs.
