Tributes Flow as Galadima is Laid to Rest in Kano

The late Galadima, a significant figure in Nigerian football, was buried in Kano, where numerous tributes were paid to him. Notable attendees included Mallam Shehu Dikko, chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau, NFF secretary, and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Dikko described Galadima as a selfless administrator who dedicated his life to the growth of football in Nigeria, serving as a mentor and father figure in the sports sector. Ahmed Musa, former captain of the Super Eagles, noted that Galadima's death is a huge loss to Nigerian football, emphasizing his enduring legacy.

Galadima passed away on April 18 at the age of 78 after a prolonged illness. He was born in the Fagge local government area of Kano State and held various positions, including chairman of the Kano State Football Association and executive chairman of the Kano State Sports Council.

His contributions to football development at both grassroots and elite levels were widely acknowledged.
