Adebayo Warns of Democracy's End Under Tinubu's Rule

Adewole Adebayo, the Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), expressed concerns regarding the future of Nigeria's democracy during an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’ on Wednesday. He stated that Nigeria's democracy could be at risk if the "dictatorship" of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu persists.

Adebayo highlighted that the core challenges facing Nigeria extend beyond issues like subsidy, asserting that the fundamental problem lies within the democratic framework itself. He warned that democracy may cease to exist if the nation fails to guarantee free, fair, and credible elections.

Additionally, he pointed out the danger of increasing voter apathy, which could arise from the inability to present a clear alternative vision for Nigeria's future. Adebayo's remarks underscore the critical need for a robust democratic process to ensure the nation's stability and governance.
