First Lady Tinubu Lauds Agri360 Mechanisation Initiative

At the National Colloquium on the Role of Women and Youth in Advancing Agricultural Mechanisation in Nigeria, held at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja, Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, commended the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security for launching the Agri360 Mechanisation Training Initiative. This initiative is designed to empower 5,000 women and young people by providing training in agricultural mechanisation, digital agriculture, equipment operation and maintenance, entrepreneurship, and agribusiness management.

Mrs. Tinubu emphasized that agricultural mechanisation would improve traditional farming methods, boost productivity, and attract youth to agriculture. She also noted the importance of equipping women with skills and resources, which would benefit their families and communities.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, highlighted the initiative's alignment with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on agriculture as a key driver of economic growth and job creation. The event included contributions from various stakeholders, underscoring the critical role of agriculture in Nigeria's economy.
