Vitel Wireless Launches Free SMS and Call Services in Nigeria, Lebara Group to Introduce Personalized Numbers

Vitel Wireless, a new entrant in Nigeria's telecom market, has introduced free SMS and call services as part of its nationwide communication offerings. The company's executive chairman, Kenneth Nwabuez, highlighted the focus on cost-saving and product-driven partnerships with enterprises.

Vitel's services include a Close User Group (CUG) for organizations to link up to 50 team members on a private network, offering free international calls and messages. The company also unveiled its xPhone device and proprietary safety tracking tool.

Additionally, Lebara Group, based in London, is set to roll out personalized phone number services in Nigeria in the third quarter of 2025.
