NIMASA and Hydrographic Agency Boost Nigeria's Maritime Safety

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and the National Hydrographic Agency are advancing maritime safety in Nigeria through collaboration aimed at enhancing local hydrographic services. Rear Admiral Olumide Fadahunsi, the head of the National Hydrographic Agency, visited NIMASA to commend their commitment to maritime safety and to assure continued cooperation in providing hydrographic services.

Dr. Dayo Mobereola, the Director General of NIMASA, emphasized the importance of strengthening maritime safety information and infrastructure, enhancing enforcement strategies, and building capacity to improve hydrographic services.

The collaboration is expected to increase compliance with local hydrographic information, thereby improving navigation safety and maritime security in Nigeria's territorial waters.
