NiMet Predicts Sunshine and Thunderstorms Across Nigeria

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a weather outlook predicting sunshine and cloudiness across Nigeria from Sunday, July 26, 2026, to Tuesday, July 28, 2026. On Sunday, sunny skies with patches of clouds are expected in the northern region, with chances of thunderstorms and moderate rains in Taraba, Adamawa, and Kaduna states during the morning.

In the afternoon and evening, thunderstorms with moderate rainfall are anticipated in Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Adamawa, and Taraba states. The North Central region will see thunderstorms and moderate rains in Plateau, Niger, Nasarawa, and the Federal Capital Territory in the morning, with similar conditions expected later in the day.

The southern region will experience moderate rains in Ondo, Ogun, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Lagos, and Bayelsa states. On Monday, thunderstorms with moderate rains are forecasted for Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Adamawa, and Taraba states.
