NIPR Commends Hajiya Shinkafi for Leadership in Mining

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) praised Hajiya Fatima Shinkafi, the Executive Secretary of the Solid Minerals Development Fund (SMDF), for her transformative leadership and innovative contributions to Nigeria's economy. This recognition occurred during a visit by a NIPR delegation led by Hajiya Lami Tumaka, the chairman of the institute's maiden International Women's Day (IWD) planning committee, ahead of the IWD event scheduled for March in Abuja.

Hajiya Shinkafi highlighted the importance of mentorship in equipping young women for leadership roles, describing it as essential for national development. She commended Dr.

Dele Alak, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, for creating an enabling environment for women in the solid minerals sector. Tumaka acknowledged Shinkafi's leadership, which has brought significant value to the nation's economy, and referenced a recent $1.3 billion direct foreign investment deal signed with the African Finance Corporation under her leadership.

The NIPR expressed pride in the transformative impact of Shinkafi's work.
