Zaria Withdraws from Kaduna Central Senate Race for Service

Dr. Abdulmumini Zaria, the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Resources Management Company, has officially withdrawn from the Kaduna Central Senate race.

He announced this decision on Wednesday, stating that it was necessary to concentrate on national service and support the administration of President Bola Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani. Zaria emphasized that his choice was driven by a higher call to service, prioritizing national duty over personal political ambitions.

He reaffirmed his loyalty to Governor Sani and described his commitment to transforming Kaduna State. Zaria's withdrawal is seen as a move to strengthen unity within the political landscape and eliminate distractions, particularly as the All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares for the 2027 elections.

His decision also comes amid ongoing reforms within Tinubu's administration that require total commitment from public officials. Zaria expressed confidence in the combined efforts of party members to ensure the success of both the federal government and Kaduna State administration.
