NLNG Celebrates Bart Nnaji's Impact on Science Innovation

The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) company honored Professor Bart Nnaji for his significant contributions to science and innovation during a colloquium celebrating his 70th birthday. The event underscored Nnaji's two decades of involvement in the growth of science in Nigeria and his role in establishing the Nigeria Prize for Science.

Adeley Falad, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NLNG, represented the company at the event. Sophia Horsfal, General Manager of External Relations and Sustainable Development at NLNG, noted that Nnaji has been a pillar of the initiative since its inception in 2004.

Horsfal emphasized Nnaji's intellectual leadership and strategic direction in advocating for the prize, which aims to promote scientific innovation and development in Nigeria. Nnaji delivered a keynote address at the inaugural Grand Award Night held in Abuja on October 9, 2004, where he discussed the importance of advancing science and technology in Nigeria.
