NMA Forms Panel to Assess Nnamdi Kanu's Health Amid Dispute

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has formed a 7-member panel to assess the health of Biafra separatist leader Nnamdi Kanu, amidst a dispute between the Department of State Services (DSS) medical team and a private consultant over Kanu's health status. The NMA intervened after Kanu's legal team requested his transfer to the National Hospital for urgent medical attention due to his deteriorating health.

The panel, comprising eminent medical experts, will evaluate Kanu's condition to resolve the conflicting assessments. The DSS maintains that Kanu is receiving adequate care, while the private consultant insists on moving him to a different medical facility.
