Nnadozie Prepares Super Falcons for WAFCON Challenges

Chiamaka Nnadozie, the goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, has expressed her anticipation for surprises at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), stating that every team should be treated with respect, as no team can be considered a "minnow" anymore. Nnadozie emphasized the importance of approaching each game with maximum respect, noting that the tournament will feature many teams capable of causing upsets.

The Super Falcons are intensifying their preparations for the tournament in Morocco, with players beginning to arrive at the training camp in Casablanca for a week-long program in nearby Mohammedia. Captain Rasheedat Ajibade and six-time CAF Women’s Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala are among the early arrivals, which will allow head coach Justin Madugu and his technical crew to fine-tune tactics and improve team chemistry.

The tournament is scheduled from July 26 to August 16, where Nigeria aims to defend its title and secure a spot in the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
