NNPC Reports Oil Production Growth Amid Security Issues

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has confirmed a growth in crude oil production despite ongoing pipeline security challenges. The production fell to a historic low of 960,000 barrels per day in 2022, with an average of 1.71 million barrels per day, and is projected to peak at 1.84 million barrels per day by 2025.

Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, disclosed this during a parliamentary roundtable on pipeline security held at the National Assembly in Abuja.

He emphasized the success of security arrangements, attributing improvements to an integrated energy security model that combines legislative, executive, and policy actions. The roundtable featured key stakeholders, including Sen.
