NNPC Limited and FIRST E&P Launch Heritage Grant Programme

The NNPC Limited/FIRST Exploration and Petroleum Development Company Limited (FIRST E&P) Joint Venture launched the Impact FIRST: Heritage Grant Programme, a multi-year initiative to support outstanding Nigerian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with proven impact. The inaugural grant presentation ceremony took place in Ikoyi, Lagos, attended by representatives from the JV, beneficiary organizations, and development stakeholders.

Emmanuel Etomi, Executive Director of Corporate Services at FIRST E&P, described the programme as a significant evolution in the JV's social investment efforts. The Impact FIRST programme, initiated in 2024, has already supported 15 NGOs, benefiting over 20,000 individuals.

Olanrewaju Igandan, Chief Upstream Investment Officer at NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS), emphasized the strategic shift to a multi-year grant framework. Pascal Achunine, Executive Director of the Health Emergency Initiative, expressed gratitude for the support, highlighting the importance of the investment in enhancing the NGOs' capacity to serve vulnerable communities.
