NNPP Open to Alliances for 2027 Elections, Says Doguwa

Ma'ud El-Jibrin Doguwa, the Kano State chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), disclosed that the party is open to forming political alliances in preparation for the 2027 general elections. He emphasized the importance of consolidating the party's structure and expanding its support base at both state and national levels.

Doguwa noted that the NNPP is ready to engage with other political parties to build consensus and work towards mutual interests. He dismissed claims of rival factions within the party, labeling them as illegitimate and asserting that the leadership of the NNPP in Kano remains unified and firmly in control of the party's affairs.

Despite recent internal disagreements and defections to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Doguwa expressed confidence in the NNPP's future and its status as a formidable political force in Kano. He reiterated the party's commitment to consulting stakeholders to strengthen its position ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle.
