NNPP Open to Alliances Ahead of 2027 Elections

Ma'ud Doguwa, the Kano State chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), stated in an exclusive interview that the party is open to forming alliances with other political parties in preparation for the 2027 general elections at both state and national levels. He emphasized that the NNPP will focus on strengthening its structure and expanding its political reach as part of its electoral strategy.

Doguwa mentioned that the party is ready to consult and build consensus with other political entities to advance its objectives. He dismissed a rival faction led by Abia, claiming it lacks legitimacy and is not representative of the NNPP.

Doguwa accused Abia of acting in the interest of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rather than the NNPP. He expressed confidence in the party's prospects for the upcoming elections, asserting that the NNPP remains a relevant political force in Kano despite recent defections and realignments.
