Ebonyi Police Deny Bandit Invasion in Nguzu Edda Community

The Ebonyi State Police Command, led by Commissioner Hope Urunwa Okafor, issued a statement clarifying that no bandits invaded Nguzu Edda Community in Edda Local Government Area, Ebonyi State. This clarification followed the circulation of a viral video alleging an armed bandit invasion by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Public Relations Officer Joshua Ukandu stated that the command deemed it necessary to address the misinformation to prevent panic. In response to the claims, the police deployed tactical units to Nguzu Edda for a thorough search operation in the surrounding bush areas.

The police emphasized that the viral video was the work of mischief-makers aiming to disrupt peace in the area. They reassured residents of their commitment to maintaining security and encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
