Abia State Police Dismiss Reports of Bomb Recovery at Church Premises

The Abia State Police Command has debunked reports of a bomb recovery at a church in Umuola Ogbor Hill, Aba. The Command clarified that no explosive device was found on the church premises, contrary to initial speculations that caused panic in the area.

The metal object discovered within the church compound was mistaken for a bomb when workers unearthed it while digging near the fence. The Police Public Relations Officer, Maureen Chinaka, confirmed that no bomb or explosive device was recovered, emphasizing that the object was a large metal piece.

The Police Commissioner, Danladi Isa, assured residents of Abia State of the Command's vigilance in safeguarding lives and properties, with active security measures deployed across the state.
