‘No Cold War’ – Ganduje’s Aide Reveals Ex Governor Consulted Tinubu Before Resignation

Garba, an aide to Governor Ganduje, dispelled rumors of a rift between the ex-governor and Bola Tinubu, revealing that Ganduje had consulted Tinubu before his sudden resignation as the ruling party's national chairman in June 2025 due to health issues. In an interview with Daily Trust, Garba emphasized that there was "no cold war" between the two political figures.

He stated that Ganduje's resignation was not forced by Tinubu and that the former Kano Governor and Tinubu were in constant communication, with Ganduje expressing his willingness to work towards the success of President APC. Garba highlighted that Ganduje considered Tinubu his best friend and reiterated their commitment to the party's goals.
