Abia Deputy Governor Emetu Denies Attack Allegations

The office of Abia State Deputy Governor Ikechukwu Emetu has refuted allegations that he is orchestrating attacks against supporters of President Bola Tinubu. Chief Press Secretary Cyril Mba issued a statement in Umuahia, labeling the claims as false and unfounded.

The Tinubu Support Group had accused Emetu of recruiting youths to attack members of the All Progressives Congress in the state. The deputy governor's office challenged the group and its spokesperson, Enyinna Nwigwe, to substantiate their allegations and provide any evidence to the appropriate security agencies, particularly the Nigeria Police.

Emetu expressed his willingness to fully cooperate with any lawful investigation aimed at clarifying the situation. He criticized the use of unsubstantiated political claims and emphasized the need for responsible political engagement and respect for the rule of law in the state.
