Wike Promises No Abandoned Projects in FCT Under Tinubu

On Thursday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), assured residents that no projects would be abandoned under President Bola Tinubu's administration. This assurance came after Wike inspected the construction of a divided highway from Nile University to Ring Road III and the full scope development of Arterial Road N1 from Wuye District to Ring Road II in Abuja.

Wike declared a zero-tolerance policy for abandoned infrastructure, insisting that most ongoing projects would be completed by the end of December. He stated, “the administration is bound by a strict promise to eliminate the culture of abandoned public works.” Wike highlighted the completion of many projects awarded since 2010 and confirmed that the construction of the N20 bridge over the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Expressway would also be finished.

He encouraged residents to be patient, assuring them that all initiated projects would be completed and commended contractors for their quality work in the FCT.
