Tinubu Lauds Wike's Leadership in Abuja's Transformation

During a special thanksgiving dinner in Abuja on a Friday night, President Bola Tinubu praised Nyesom Wike for his leadership in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) since he became the Minister in August 2023. Tinubu noted the significant improvements in the FCT, marking its 50th anniversary, and highlighted the inauguration of 31 projects across the territory.

He acknowledged the efforts of Wike's team, including Aliyu Modibbo, the former Minister of FCT and current Special Adviser to the President, and expressed optimism about Wike's return to the FCT ministry. Tinubu remarked on the motivation and drive of civil servants, which had been lacking prior to Wike's leadership.

He also mentioned the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission to enhance civil service effectiveness. Tinubu emphasized that his administration would continue to work on completing projects and improving the lives of residents, contrasting the current achievements with the 70% of abandoned projects from previous administrations.
