Defence Minister Advocates Unified Approach to Security

On Tuesday, General Christoph Musa, the Defence Minister of Nigeria, asserted that addressing the nation's security challenges requires a collective effort from all sectors, rather than reliance on a single service or security agency. His remarks were made during the inauguration of a lecture series at the Defence Headquarters' Joint Doctrine Warfare Centre.

Musa highlighted the importance of a unified approach that includes the military, security agencies, and citizens to effectively combat terrorism, banditry, and crime. He noted that the Joint Doctrine Warfare Centre, established in July of the previous year, aims to foster a continuous learning environment and facilitate inter-service dialogue.

This initiative is critical for understanding the complexities of military operations and enhancing Nigeria's defense capabilities. Additionally, Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Oluyede emphasized the military's commitment to improving indigenous technology within the defense industry and collaborating with neighboring countries to address border security and immigration issues.
