JAMB Begins NCE Admissions, Waives UTME Requirement
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has initiated the registration process for candidates aspiring to enroll in Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes in Colleges of Education and Non-Technological Agricultural Programmes offered by polytechnics across Nigeria. This announcement was made by Fabian Benjamin, Acting Director Public Affairs and Protocol of JAMB, on Thursday.
The Federal Government has waived the requirement for these candidates to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). JAMB has established a new admission process to ensure that only qualified candidates are admitted, maintaining the quality and standards of these programmes.
Eligible applicants are required to present their O’Level credentials at any Institutional Professional Registration Centre (IPRC) or JAMB Professional Registration Centre (PRC) to complete their registration. Additionally, candidates who participated in the 2026 UTME but wish to pursue NCE or Non-Technological Agricultural Programmes can convert their applications at no extra cost.
