NOA Urges National Unity Against Insurgency in Nigeria

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) urged Nigerians to unite against insurgency and security threats facing the nation. This call followed the successful rescue of students and a teacher abducted by suspected terrorists in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The operation, led by the agency's Director General, Mr. Lanre Issa Onilu, involved meticulous intelligence gathering and inter-agency collaboration, which successfully identified terrorist kingpins and disrupted their logistical networks.

Onilu commended the dedication and bravery of security personnel involved in the operation, emphasizing that criminal elements cannot outsmart a determined nation. He called on Nigerians to support security agencies and remain vigilant, reporting any suspicious activities promptly.

Onilu also stressed the importance of rejecting ethnic, religious, and political divisions to strengthen collective efforts in ensuring peace and security in Nigeria. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by security personnel during these operations, highlighting their courage and commitment to keeping Nigeria safe.
