NOA Calls for Vigilance Ahead of Osun 2026 Elections

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has called for vigilance among residents of Osun State and sought the support of traditional rulers to address security challenges in the lead-up to the 2026 governorship elections. During an advocacy visit on Tuesday, Adebiyi Adefarasin, the state director of NOA, emphasized the importance of traditional institutions in promoting peace and civic engagement.

The visit included a sensitization program led by Adefarasin and aimed to mobilize traditional institutions to support voter education and encourage peaceful participation in the electoral process. Adefarasin stressed the need for traditional rulers to promote civic responsibility and peaceful participation, highlighting their critical role as partners in community mobilization.

Oba Adekunl Oyelud Makama of Kuta commended the leadership of NOA and pledged support from the Kuta Kingdom to ensure a credible, value-driven governorship election. The NOA director also called on the federal government to prioritize funding for the agency to enable it to effectively fulfill its mandate.
