Nollywood Actor Solomon Akiyesi Passes Away at 55

Solomon Akiyesi, a veteran Nollywood actor, has died, as confirmed by Abubakar Yakubu, the president of the Actor Guild Nigeria. The incident occurred on Sunday when Akiyesi went to bed and did not wake up.

His body was subsequently taken to a morgue in Abuja. Akiyesi, who began his acting career in the late 1990s, had a significant impact on the Nollywood industry, featuring in over 100 films throughout his career.

His notable works include roles in "Married Love," "Kiss of Pain," "Joi," "Nakasha," "Heart of Saint," "Deadly Affair," and "Gen Z." He is also remembered for his role as Clarus in the sitcom "New Masquerade." Following his death, fans and colleagues took to social media to mourn and share memories of his work. Akiyesi's passing comes just three weeks after the loss of another veteran Nollywood actor.
