Laide Bakare Raises Alarm Over Sons' Safety Amid Custody Dispute

Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has publicly expressed her concerns regarding the welfare of her two sons, who are currently living with their father and his wife. While in Saudi Arabia for Umrah, Bakare overheard a conversation in her ex-husband's home where his wife instructed a child not to harm her sons in a way that would leave visible marks.

She claims the woman suggested holding the boys by the neck instead. Bakare stated she has a recording of this conversation and has repeatedly raised her concerns with her ex-husband, who she alleges has dismissed her complaints due to his devotion to his wife.

She also mentioned that he has prevented her from renewing their passports, hindering her ability to take them to America or have them live with her. Bakare described the stepmother as two-faced, appearing pleasant in public but different in private.

She has three children in total and has requested that her sons not live with their stepmother. At the time of reporting, her ex-husband had not responded to the allegations, and the claims remain unverified.
