Tinubu Highlights North-Central's Role in Infrastructure Growth

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stated that the North-Central region is crucial to his administration, revealing that there are currently 61 road projects under construction across six states in the zone. He flagged off the rehabilitation of the Babban Lamba-Sharam Phase II road in the Kank local government area of Plateau State, noting that five projects have already been completed.

Tinubu highlighted that his administration has initiated 25 major road projects and 31 emergency road projects in the North-Central zone. He mentioned that the region has previously benefited from federal infrastructure initiatives and that his administration's efforts represent the largest road infrastructure program in Nigeria's history.

Tinubu also addressed criticisms from political opponents, particularly presidential candidate Peter Obi, asserting that his administration deserves commendation for its achievements over the past three years. He expressed optimism about the economic indicators and revenue flows that enable states to execute projects without heavy borrowing.
