Northern business tycoon, Isyaku Ibrahim, dies at 88

Isyaku Ibrahim, a prominent northern business tycoon and politician, passed away at the age of 88 in a private hospital in Abuja. Ibrahim was known for his role in the formation of the ruling party NPN during the Second Republic.

He was also hailed as the founder of the Mighty Jets Football Club in Jos and was one of the first Nigerians to hire a foreign coach for the team. Ibrahim's nephew confirmed his passing, describing him as a towering political figure and philanthropist.

The funeral prayer was held at the National Mosque in Abuja. Ibrahim was remembered as a highly principled and patriotic individual who made significant contributions to the Northern region.
