Benue PDP Youth Leader, Francis Ibya, Dies After Brief Illness

Francis Ibya, a prominent youth leader in the Benue State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), passed away on August 9, 2025, after a brief illness. The State Publicity Secretary, Tim Nyor, confirmed the news, with the State Chairman, Rt Hon Ezekiel Adaji, expressing deep sorrow over the loss.

Ibya was praised for his loyalty and dedication to the party, serving as a role model for young people in politics. The State Working Committee extended condolences to his family and friends, offering full support during this difficult time.

In other news, the PDP has announced a zoning formula for the 2027 general elections, with a committee led by Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State set to meet in Abuja to discuss the plan. The program is scheduled to run from August 24 to December 2025, as per a document signed by the National Organising Secretary, Honourable Umar B.
