Northern Group Demands Sack of Security Chiefs Over US Designation

The Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has called for the immediate removal of Nigeria's defense and security chiefs due to the US classification of the country as a particular security concern. The group, led by Isah Abubakar, highlights the worsening security crisis in the nation and urges President Bola Tinubu to replace the current security leadership with individuals who understand modern security and counter-terrorism strategies.

They also criticize the poor coordination among security heads and call for a change in police leadership to strengthen the fight against terrorism and banditry, particularly in the northern states like Kaduna.
