NPA Aids Recovery of NDPHC Equipment Worth Billions

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has successfully facilitated the recovery and clearance of critical power equipment belonging to the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC), which had been abandoned at various Nigerian seaports. This intervention is anticipated to accelerate the implementation of essential power projects across Nigeria and help the NDPHC avoid potential losses amounting to billions of naira.

Engr. Jennifer Adighije, the Managing Director of NDPHC, made this announcement during a courtesy visit to the NPA's Managing Director, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, and his management team in Lagos. Adighije praised the NPA for its timely intervention, emphasizing that the recovery of the equipment is vital for strengthening Nigeria's power infrastructure and ensuring the effective delivery of ongoing and planned power projects.

She noted that delays in recovering the equipment could have adversely affected project timelines and increased costs. Dr. Dantsoho commended the NDPHC for its contributions to Nigeria's power sector and reaffirmed the NPA's commitment to supporting national development initiatives.
