NPA to Sustain Ports Efficiencyas Non-oil Exports Expand to $3.225bn

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is focused on sustaining port efficiency as non-oil exports have expanded to $3.225 billion. The Managing Director of NPA, Abubakar Dantsoho, emphasized the need for continuous improvement in port efficiency to support the positive export performance Nigeria has seen in recent years.

Dantsoho highlighted the importance of minimizing environmental impact, promoting social responsibility, and ensuring economic viability in driving global progress. The NPA has partnered with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council to establish Export Processing Terminals, leading to unprecedented growth in Nigeria's exports.

The recent NPA Management Retreat in Onne, Rivers State, focused on repositioning the Nigerian ports system for sustainability, with a commitment to operational excellence and achieving set priorities. The retreat also included the signing of a Performance Bond to reinforce this commitment.
