NPFL Confirms May 24 Finale; Ranchers Bees Return

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has officially announced that the season finale will occur on May 24, 2025. Chief Operating Officer Davidson Owumi emphasized that the league's campaign remains on track despite recent fixture adjustments due to the domestic cup schedule.

The NPFL's calendar is designed to prevent disruptions that affected previous seasons. The league's matchday 36 fixtures are set for May 3, followed by matchday 37 on May 10, with a pause before the final round of matches on May 16 and 17 to allow for the Feder Cup.

Owumi stressed the importance of fixture integrity and cooperation among clubs. Additionally, Ranchers Bees have confirmed their promotion back to the top flight after finishing first in the Nigeria National League (NNL), securing the sole promotion ticket despite a 2-0 away defeat to Gomb Unit.

This marks the Bees' return to elite football for the first time since their relegation at the end of the 2009-2010 campaign.
