NPFL Lifts Ban on Lekan Salami Stadium for Shooting Stars

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has officially lifted the ban on Lekan Salami Stadium, located in Ibadan, which had been imposed on Shooting Stars Sports Club due to the poor condition of the playing surface. As a result of the ban, the club had to play its home fixtures at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.

The NPFL's decision enables the Oluyole Warriors to host Kano Pillars at Lekan Salami Stadium on matchday 28. This match is particularly significant for Shooting Stars, as they seek to bounce back from a 4-1 defeat to Plateau United in their previous fixture.

The reopening of the stadium is viewed as a positive development for the club, restoring their home ground advantage for the remainder of the season.
