Nigeria Revenue Service Academy Launches Digital Learning Platform

The Nigeria Revenue Service Academy is set to unveil a digital learning platform on May 20, which represents a significant shift from traditional classroom-based training to a technology-driven continuous learning model. Adeolu Akinyemi, the Academy's director, disclosed that the platform will deliver content through microlearning modules, scenario-based exercises, and gamified experiences, allowing staff to learn at their own pace.

The system will incorporate a digital reward economy featuring points, virtual coins, digital badges, and leaderboards to track performance across various departments. Akinyemi emphasized that learning will become a self-driven process, empowering staff to take ownership of their learning paths and access training content on demand, regardless of location.

The Academy will also identify candidates for promotions and special assignments based on performance scores recorded within the system. The introduction of this platform is part of the Nigeria Revenue Service's broader agenda to build a technology-enabled, efficient, and globally competitive institution, marking a significant milestone in ongoing reforms aimed at modernizing tax administration and human capital development.
