NRS Extends Weekend Tax Services for Filing Season

The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has announced the extension of its operational hours to include Saturdays from May 8 to June 27, 2026, as part of its efforts to support taxpayers during the peak filing season. This initiative is designed to help taxpayers navigate the newly launched tax administration platform, Rev360, which aims to facilitate compliance with tax obligations.

The extended hours will be available from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Dr.

Zacch Adedeji, the Executive Chairman of NRS, stated that the agency's move is expected to ease the pressure on taxpayers during the June corporate income tax filing period. The NRS is committed to enhancing service delivery and compliance within Nigeria's tax administration framework, reflecting the government's broader fiscal reform agenda, which targets a revenue increase to N28.29 trillion by 2025, compared to N6.4 trillion generated in 2021.
