NSCDC Arrests Five Suspected Motorcycle Thieves in Gombe
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arrested five suspected motorcycle thieves in Gombe State. The arrests were made following intelligence-led operations conducted in the local government areas of Billiri, Balanga, and Akko.
Among those arrested was Haruna Hamman, 19, from Billiri, who allegedly stole a Boxer motorcycle belonging to Adamu Buba on April 15, 2026. The motorcycle was later recovered during NSCDC patrol operations.
Nura Adamu, 29, from Bambam in Balanga, was apprehended for allegedly receiving a stolen Jinchen Kasea motorcycle. Victor Thoma Tumfur from Akko was also involved in the operation.
Additionally, Ishiyaka Ahm, 20, from Arawa B area in Gombe metropolis, was arrested in connection with a burglary case involving the theft of a laptop, internet router, and power bank from a residence. The NSCDC is continuing its investigation into the suspects, who are linked to a syndicate.
State Command CC Jibrin Idri reaffirmed the corps' commitment to tackling crime and urged residents to report any suspicious activities to security agencies.
