NSCDC Arrests Six in Major Car Snatching Operation

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has successfully dismantled an interstate car snatching syndicate, leading to the arrest of six suspects identified as Hassan Bukar, Adam Musa, Ibrahim Haruna, Adamu Moham, Sahal Abdullahi, and Aliyu Abubakar Yusuf. This operation was executed under the direct command of Prof. Ahm Abubakar Audi, with the Special Intelligence Squad launching targeted operations based on credible intelligence.

The gang was found to have stolen vehicles, which they sold to scrap dealers after dismantling them. During the operation, a Toyota Camry worth 1.15 million Naira was recovered, and the Zuba scrap market was sealed as part of the investigation.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Abdulsalam Isa acted as a courier for the syndicate, coordinating the collection and disposal of stolen vehicles. The NSCDC reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating organized crime and urged the public to report suspicious vehicle transactions.
