NSCDC Arrests Five for Motorcycle and Phone Theft in Gombe

Among the arrested individuals is 19-year-old Haruna Hamman from Billiri Local Government Area, who allegedly stole a boxer motorcycle belonging to Adamu Buba on April 15, 2026. The motorcycle was reported stolen from the residence of Jauro Buba in Billiri at midnight.
NSCDC patrol officers later recovered the motorcycle in Gombe Local Government Area. Another suspect, 29-year-old Nura Adamu from Bambam, Balanga LGA, was apprehended with a stolen Jinchen Kasea motorcycle belonging to Victor Thoma Tumfur from Akko LGA.
Investigations revealed that the motorcycle changed hands multiple times, with Nura purchasing it for 500,000 Naira. Other suspects include Ishiyaka Ahm, 20, who allegedly broke into the residence of Mubarak Salihu in February 2026, stealing two laptops, two internet routers, and three power banks.
The suspects are currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend additional accomplices.
