NSCDC Arrests Three for Vandalism and Theft in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano State Command arrested three suspects for vandalism and theft. On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, two suspects, Adamu Ibrahim (25) and Abba Ado (24), were apprehended in Yunfawa Village, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, for stealing 300 meters of aluminum conductor cable belonging to Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO).

They were intercepted while attempting to remove the cable from an electric pole. Following their arrest, they confessed to the crime during interrogation at the NSCDC headquarters in Kano.

Additionally, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, Abdullahi Aminu (18) was arrested for stealing a tricycle in Dala Local Government Area. He reportedly parked the tricycle on the roadside while a female passenger boarded and drove off recklessly.

NSCDC personnel on routine patrol responded to calls for help and arrested him. All suspects are in custody and will face appropriate charges in court.
