Kano Police Recover Stolen Ambulance and Vehicles

The Kano Police successfully recovered a stolen ambulance and three other vehicles in a series of operations led by CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa. The operations were part of a special intervention squad directed by Ibrahim Adamu Bakori.

Among the recovered vehicles was a Kia Forte, which had been obtained through a fake bank alert in Damaturu, Yobe State. A suspect, Suleiman Umar, aged 37, was arrested and confessed to his involvement in the vehicle thefts.

The police also found a red Daihatsu Sirion, stolen from Tarauni Local Government Area, and a Hyundai Elantra, which had been taken from an event center in Kano. Additionally, a Toyota ambulance belonging to EHA Special Hospital in Kano was reported stolen, with two security guards injured during the incident.

The ambulance was later recovered abandoned along Zaria Road and returned to the hospital management. CSP Kiyawa commended the police for their swift response and professionalism, urging residents to report any suspicious activities to aid ongoing investigations.
