NSCDC Trains 264 Private Guards in Security Management

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) conducted a Passing out Parade for 264 private guard operatives who completed a Refresher Training Course on Modern Security Management in the Federal Capital Territory. Dr Olusola Odumosu, the FCT Commandant of the Corps, emphasized that security personnel should not treat their duties as routine but should understand their environment, recognize vulnerabilities, and report suspicious activities to government security agencies.

He stressed the importance of maintaining professional responsibilities and encouraged private security companies to enhance their internal reporting mechanisms. Dr Odumosu highlighted that the refresher training is crucial for equipping operatives with new techniques and correcting outdated practices, thereby preparing them to navigate Nigeria's evolving security landscape.

Chief Lucky Ojealaro, Chairman of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria, expressed gratitude for Dr Odumosu's leadership and urged participants to apply their newly acquired knowledge in their roles.
