Rivers Police Arrest Four in Major Car Theft Bust

The Rivers State Police Command successfully dismantled a four-man car theft syndicate, arresting four suspects involved in the crime. The operation, which took place on April 10, 2026, was led by the Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) following credible intelligence.

The arrested individuals include Paul Nwabuez, Jude Male, Uju Molokai, Dike Michael, Uzomba Darlington, and Emynaya Eugen. The police recovered several stolen vehicles, including two Toyota Hilux and three Sienna vehicles.

The operation was a direct result of ongoing efforts to combat organized vehicle theft under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu and Rivers State Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adepoju. Adepoju urged the public to remain vigilant and adopt security measures to protect their vehicles and property.

The police emphasized the importance of promptly reporting suspicious activities to prevent crime.
