NSCDC Deploys 1,450 Operatives for Peaceful Sallah in Jigawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 1,450 personnel in Jigawa State to ensure a secure environment during the Sallah celebrations. This deployment, announced by the command's public relations officer, Badaruddeen Tijjani, aims to prevent security breaches and maintain peace throughout the festivities.

The operatives will be stationed at Eid prayer grounds, markets, and other public places expected to attract large gatherings. The NSCDC's state command, led by Kabiru Ingawa, has directed intensified patrols and surveillance to safeguard lives and properties during the celebrations.

The command has urged residents to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security agencies. Additionally, the NSCDC reassured citizens of its commitment to public safety and its readiness to protect critical national assets, including farmlands, with the agro ranger squad on standby to prevent attacks.

The command concluded by extending warm Sallah greetings to the residents of Jigawa State.
