NSCDC Deploys 2,375 Personnel for Eid-el-Fitr Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 2,375 personnel across Niger State to maintain security during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, which signify the conclusion of Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting. This deployment was approved by the state command under Suberu Siyaka and will cover various command headquarters, area commands, and divisional offices.

The personnel, as stated in a release from the public relations office, will be stationed at strategic locations to ensure order and provide adequate security during the festivities. The heightened security measures are in response to increased public activities associated with the celebrations.

The deployment commenced on March 18, 2026, and the officers are expected to conduct patrols and crowd management operations throughout the state. The command has emphasized its mandate to protect lives and critical national assets, with commendations directed towards the command general of the corps, Ahm Abubakar Audi, for strengthening operational capacity.

Residents have been urged to adhere to the law and cooperate with security agencies by reporting any suspicious activities to the nearest NSCDC office.
