NSCDC deploys massive security personnel ahead of Saturday’s by-elections

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed a significant number of security personnel ahead of Saturday's by-elections in 16 constituencies across 12 states. In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, NSCDC Public Relations Officer Babatunde Afolabi announced the deployment, which was approved by the NSCDC Commandant General Ahmed Audi.

Audi emphasized the readiness of the corps to secure election materials, protect officials, and monitor the electoral process in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force. Commandants in the 12 states where the by-elections will take place were directed to maintain professionalism, respect citizens' rights, and ensure peaceful polls.

The NSCDC will work in synergy with other relevant security agencies in Anambra, Edo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Ogun, Oyo, Taraba, Kogi, Kano, and Niger states during the by-elections.
