NSCDC Officer Killed During Palliative Distribution in Kano

An officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was killed during a palliative distribution program in Kano on Friday. The incident occurred while members of the Doguwa/Tudun Wada constituency were distributing food items to residents.

Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the House of Representatives member representing the area, confirmed the incident in a statement, alleging that the officer was killed following an attempt by hoodlums to disrupt the distribution. Doguwa expressed his shock at the tragic loss and extended condolences to the family of the deceased officer.

He called on security agencies to launch a thorough investigation to identify those behind the violence and ensure they face the full wrath of the law. Additionally, Doguwa warned against the spread of false information and defamatory remarks linked to the incident, stressing that legal measures would be taken to protect the integrity of the constituency.
